Keyan was sure he wanted a Batman cake for his birthday, but there is not much to choose from in the way of Batman right now (I've learned to do a moderate cake and throw some toys on top as decoration) so I took a chance and made him a "Beyblade" cake. This dare could have gone either way since he is very decisive and knows what he wants, but it turned out to be a great success. He was very happy with it! Luckily, I snapped these photos because a couple of hours after this, the cake split down the middle and looked pretty bad!
Kim, Taylor and Ian came for the week of their spring break so we decided to take Keyan bowling for something new on his birthday. He was less than impressed!
Tiago on the other hand was really into it and took my directions on how to bowl very serious.
Sutton was pretty interested in the new surroundings,
even though he was pinned in this thing (again) the whole time!
Keyan is quite photogenic...at least he does his best...
he generally enjoys pulling a weird face for pictures these days.
He miraculously won this little blue stuffed animal "happy face" out of the grab hand machine at the bowling alley (we have told the kids a dozen times that it's a waste of money because you never win) and because it was his birthday we let him try and on #2 he pulled it out! He is SO proud of it.
He was so happy to hear us sing Happy Birthday to him. I think it's middle child stuff,
but he just loves his chance to be in the spot light.
Keyan is definitely the fire of our family, it has been entertaining to see him grow physically in the last 4 months he has really shot up and thinned out, he looks like a boy now instead of a toddler. He loves oatmeal and cereal in the mornings, pb&j with crackers for lunch and generally dislikes what I make for dinner. If he doesn't want to eat dinner he will go to bed hungry, "there's no way I'm eating this" is what he likes to say and he sticks to it sometimes, but usually he ends up saying "okay, I guess I can eat it, but I need someone to help me". He loves to snuggle, he loves when Tiago gets home from school, he likes to color, sing, play on the wii and go outside. He is an awesome Sunbeam, he takes it very serious. He is a semi-perfectionist which can be frustrating when he doesn't understand why he has trouble writing his name (he's pretty darn good at it). Basically, he wants to be able to do anything and everything his older brother can do and be just as good at it if not better! He is over the top excited about pre-school in the fall, it should be an exciting year!
I am just blown away that my second boy is 4!
