This summer has truly been epic. Ever since college Josh has wanted to be a teacher, I pretty much talked him out of it back then, which has allowed him to learn a ton of skills through various other jobs... all in all it has been good for our family, but with the last few jobs he has taken on a lot more responsibility and it has become living to work rather than working to live so he has decided it's time to follow his dream. At the end of last school year he starting teaching at Excelsior Academy Jr High which is a charter school in the Tooele Valley. He teaches history, which is perfect for him.
This summer we have been able to spend day after day after day together as a family. It is a great feeling to not feel like you are constantly fighting the clock. For several years we always felt like we just never had enough time. Never could get caught up on all the things we wanted to do (then it was a time issue, now it's more of a laziness issue). It is a great feeling when you feel you are in control of your life.
We have been on several trips, Bear lake, Bryce canyon family reunion, St. George, Mirror lake and we have done a few improvements on our yard that we have been wanting to do for a while.
We are learning that TIME really is PRICELESS and although we have less cash, we feel much more content with our life. I'm glad I married someone who puts his family first!
