He seems happy enough with it right?
I made a homemade bat pinata, lets just say it didn't exactly go as planned, but it was full of candy and all of the kids had a chance to take several swings at it before it broke, so in their opinion it was a total success...I just keep reminding myself that is what really matters in the end.
He got lots of fun toys from his cousins
Tiago at age five: he is a great brother, he goes out of his way to help both of his younger brothers. He likes "all colors except pink and yellow because they are girl colors". He is still a pretty good eater, but is definitely starting to know what he does and doesn't like. His favorite dinner is chicken bowls, his b-fast isn't complete unless he's had oatmeal and then "cereal and milk" and for lunch he usually chooses peanut butter and jelly with crackers. He is excited about school and has really taken to numbers, he counts all day long and does simple adding and subtracting on his fingers just for fun. He is also really into time, he is always figuring out what time it is, he just knows if it's a little past 3 or between 3-4 or almost 4, but it's a pretty good start! He loves to pretend, watch shows on the wii, ride his bike (without training wheels), run, swim, and take on responsibilities...he is definitely the classic first born. He loves life, laughs easily, and is genuinely kind. We are so lucky to have him in our family and especially as the big brother.

5 still seems so little! Great job on the cake and pinata. I'm sure he thinks you're the awesomest mom ever!
