The last couple of years Josh's reunion has fallen near or on Tiago's b-day and our anniversary, this year was no different. The day after his b-day, our anniversary, we headed to the Bryce Canyon area for the reunion. This is our second year in a tent trailer, which makes the drive slower, but makes things nicer once we are there. The first night we let the boys stay up late, they thought it was pretty cool to be outside in the dark. Tiago and Truman (his cousin) couldn't stop talking about the funniest stuff like what kind of food they like and how this and that is "sooo good". Kids are hilarious to listen to.
Keyan just kept tipping in his monkey chair.
They went fishing and caught several fish, even only saving the ones that were inadvertently killed, there was more than anyone really wanted to eat. One person in the family caught a 3lb fish while we were there, it was the biggest one anyone has seen from that lake.
Poor Sutton spent most of the week like this...
B-fast time in the camper
Bath time, the boys just love getting as dirty as they can during the day
and then taking an outside bath at night.
Tiago got a harry potter scratch on day two.
Pretty awesome when third cousins get to hang out
Poor guy stuck in here again!
and again
and again
It was dark, but this was Keyan's pose when I tried to document just how dirty he got, that is a "white" sock over his eyes...he would literally throw dirt up and walk under it. Then, he would insist on being the first one in the bath so the water would be chocolate before anyone else had a chance to get clean!
A little relief from the stroller, overall he did pretty good, next year might be the beginning of the parents Mom actually enjoying the reunion with kids who are a little bit older!!
We also swam in the COLD lake, undocumented since I actually swam this year in preparation for my first open water swim triathlon....I may or may not have been hyperventilating over weeds grabbing onto my ankles and trying to pull me under....evil weeds!

LOL! It's amazing how dirty little kids can get. It is fun to watch them have all that fun, but it's even better when they are old enough to run wild and let you have your own fun. ;) Good job at swimming in the lake. The weeds make me hyperventilate too.
