Honey

If you didn't already know, we are now Beekeeper's. We have had some pretty good success with one of our two hives. We harvested about 40 jars of Honey a couple of weeks ago and we have finally come to the conclusion that we will sell some of it. For now it will be $5 per jar (8oz/half pint). It's Raw, wildflower honey. Quantities are limited so if you want some let me know asap... if you live in South Rim it will be helpful with allergies if you are having problems. I also have some beeswax products...lip balm (almond or peppermint) and hand cream. I will also sell some pure beeswax if you are interested. We will harvest Comb Honey by request.

Honey facts: Did you know?

Most store bought honey is a combination of various honey's (and bee bits) so they can keep a consistent taste and color, it's rarely actually "clover honey" it's really "heinz 57 honey".

Wildflower honey is what you call honey that is from various sources, this batch is mostly from squash plants in local gardens, but there's technically no such thing as "squash honey."

Most store bought honey has been heated at some point to keep if from crystalizing, this heating process destroys most of the amazing qualities of natural raw honey.

Most store bought honey has water added to it.

Talk about honey in the scriptures takes on a whole new meaning when you find out how amazing and helpful the raw sweet stuff really is. It really was a blessing to those people when they refer to living in a land of honey.
