Fall 2013

Check out this awesome moon-rise.
Keyan got to "drive" the neighbors big loader with G-pa Gary
Sutton is....well one. He isn't happy these days unless he is destroying the house. He enjoys pulling all of the books from the bookshelf, pulling out all of the bibs, washrags and dish towels from the kitchen cupboards. And his most recent fun is to pull cans out of the cupboards and put them in various locations in the house...under beds, in the garbage, stacked up on the kitchen floor, he even throws them down the stairs occasionally, call OSHA, this is NOT a safe work environment!
 See that face...guilty!
We took a trip up the canyon when the fall leaves were so awesome. We went on a hike and the boys actually lasted pretty long. It must be something about the crisp fall air!
When the kids were out of school for fall break we went to the zoo...I don't know why we continually do this to ourselves?? Good news...no one got lost this time.
When I look at this picture I pretend Sutton is potty-training, but the reality is the opposite, he was having some issues so we had to let his bum air-out in some underwear.
Tiago has really matured lately...okay he sold cookies for his school and got this funny mustache.
As shown below, Keyan DOES NOT take naps anymore because he is NOT a baby!
Sutton cruises around like no ones business, right now he owns this place!
Church is so "fun"...remember that stage right before they go into nursery...yep we are in it!
My ninja's, I am holding out on the family theme as long as I can, I was a pink ninja and Josh was a yellow ninja...no picture of the family :(
We grew some pretty big pumpkins this year, it sure makes for a lot of pumpkin guts!
Josh had quite the experience deer hunting this year. On our scouting adventure about a month prior we hauled four-wheelers out to the west desert (about 1.5 hrs) and when we got there we realized we didn't have the key to our four-wheeler. We saw a total of ZERO deer and on the way home we got a flat tire on the trailer to which we had no spare. We left the trailer and four-wheelers came home, then Josh and g-pa Gary took another trailer to get the four-wheelers and take off the flat tire to bring it back to get replaced. The next day G-pa had to drive back out there again to put on the new tire and drive the trailer home. It was frustrating to say the least and expensive! Well, a friend of Josh's (let me mention he's 85) took him out again another Saturday to show him where all of the huge bucks are in the skull valley. They saw none, but the friend was convinced that they were in this one certain spot. So opening morning Josh and Gary head out again, with a four-wheeler in tow again. They arrive and there are hunters EVERYWHERE, some had camped right in "the spot" where the deer certainly would be. They hiked around and saw nothing so Josh decides he'll hike to the top of the mountain. Gary decided to go get the four-wheeler and work his way up the canyon to pick Josh up. The four-wheeler is off the trailer for 5 minutes parked under a tree and wouldn't you know it BLM shows up and gives them a ticket for having an unlicensed four-wheeler. (It's fine just add it to the tab). They decide to cut their losses and head home. Josh is sad so he stops at the grocery store and buys a bunch of beef to make jerky. The jerky wasn't bad, but it wasn't cheap either! Josh sulks for the better part of two days and decides to go out with "G-pa Eric" since he has a tag in the local area. Early Monday morning they see a four-point buck, but it runs away before they could get a shot off. Tuesday morning they go out on the side-by-side and get chewed out by some land-owners, then they head up Stockton canyon and just about roll the side-by-side half-way down the mountain. That night Josh has one of his freak-out dreams(about rolling down a mountain) where he starts kicking and screaming and I have to punch him to wake him up, which usually ties into his dream and he thinks its even more real and freaks out even more!! Oh I HATE those dreams! Fast forward four days and this is what you get. Josh decides to take the boys out to skull valley to hunt and fish. They have a great time...they ALMOST catch a whole bunch of fish and on the way back they see a huge four point buck on the side of the road, Josh gets out and has the deer in his sights, Keyan is yelling from the car "shoot it daddy, shoot it" but he can't....the flippin deer is on the wrong side of the road. This road was the boundary of the hunting area and the deer was 20 feet outside of the boundary. Josh being Josh lowers his rifle and teaches his boys about choosing the right! I don't know how anyone can be married to a hard-core hunter...this every other year thing is just about putting me over the edge!
That weekend I decide to take my own four-wheeler ride.
This is our neighborhood taken from way up on South Mountain...I didn't get a flat or run into BLM :)
FALL is the time to remember what we are grateful for. This is our gratitude tree, the boys are really excited to put up a leaf each day showing what they are grateful for. So far we have some cute ones such as: brothers, food, heart, paint, fridge, playground, and TV

Love the Ninja theme. I wish more than anything that my kids would let me do a themed Halloween. One of these days I'll just give them no choce. ha, ha Love your update. I feel like we never talk anymore. I miss our friendship.
