What does it mean to do something "special" on Easter weekend when you're the mom?
It means you take the chance to work, or in this case paint.
For about a year we've had these awesome polk-a-dot walls thanks to a horrible touch-up paint job...
note to anyone out there considering it...the little white ding in your wall looks better than new paint trying to cover it!
Thankfully, my neighbor is a really patient, dedicated painter so between the two of us we were able to paint all of the house, minus the bedrooms in a day and a half.
What does it mean to be almost 30? It means you buy a Buick Century as your work car and you couldn't be happier that you drive the same car as your mother-in-law!
What does it mean to be almost 5? It means you just learned how to ride your bike without training wheels, but didn't realize how slippery loose gravel is...and the handle bar "hits you in the heart". It means while your mom and g-ma are painting like crazy, you are downstairs marking up the walls with your awesome new Easter stamp :(
It means when you go on an Easter egg hunt, you gather 3 times more eggs than any other kid.
What does it mean to be almost 3? It means when we go to the "eating place" when you are done with your food, you hide on the bench while sticking a crayon up your nose and breaking it off. We couldn't get him to quite picking his nose, finally he told us there was a crayon up there...THANKFULLY, he knows how to blow his nose and we were able to convince him to do the biggest blow ever and it came out! Saved us a trip to instacare.
It means you get to go on your older brother's field trip and act like you are one of the big kids...note the hands in the pocket and the mud boots...he fits right in. He sure had a lot to say while we were there!
It means when it's nap time, you climb up on your brother's top bunk and end up sleeping up there because you don't know how to get back down.
What does it mean to be 7 months old? It means you can sit-up, you have two bottom teeth, you eat real baby food and you still wake your mom up 3-4 times per night, but your so stinking cute she loves you anyway!
What does it mean when mother nature gives you one of these on a Saturday in spring?
You stay inside and eat some of these.

I loved that post. Glad you got it all painted. I do love your mom. I miss visiting her. I thought about calling you so we could watch some of the games together, but didn't get around to it. Did you catch the Kevin Ware injury. That was pretty sick. I think I might die on Thursday when I don't get my bball. Your kids are too too cute. I love their chubby cheeks. Do you just bite them all day long? I would.
